We often get questions about managing inventory within Mews POS, so this week, we want to provide some clarity on two frequently asked topics: How to complete an inventory return and How to accept a delivery from a purchase order. Let's dive in!

1. How to Complete an Inventory Return in Mews POS

Returns in Mews POS help you keep track of products you send back to suppliers, making inventory management smoother. When a return is processed, Mews POS automatically updates the stock records, allowing you to connect deliveries and returns seamlessly.

To complete an inventory return in Mews POS:

1. Navigate to Inventory and select Deliveries.
2. Locate the relevant delivery and click on it to open the Delivery details screen.
3. Click Return Items and select the checkbox next to the product you want to return.
4. Enter the quantity of the returned item and click Save Items.
5. In the New Return screen, fill out the necessary information (Document Date/Time, Notes, etc.).
6. Review the product details, including quantity, price, tax, subtotal, and total.
7. If needed, add more items by clicking Add Item, or save as a draft by clicking Save.
8. Click Process to complete the return.

2. How to Accept a Delivery from a Purchase Order in Mews POS

Deliveries in Mews POS track products received from suppliers, ensuring your inventory is updated accurately. Accepting a delivery is quick and links back to the original purchase order.

To accept a delivery in Mews POS:

1. Go to Inventory and select Purchase orders.
2. Find the Purchase order in the list and click on it to access the Edit purchase order screen.
3. Update the purchase order if needed, then click Transform To Delivery.
4. Review and confirm the delivered items to update your inventory records.
