Billing with Mews is like scoring a goal: quick and efficient. Modifications are made in the blink of an eye, like a sprinter crossing the finish line. You have constant access to useful information, allowing you to dribble past administrative tasks and focus on your guests.

Paying the bill might not be the most thrilling part of your clients’ stay, but it’s a crucial step. With Mews, it’s like Djokovic hitting a winning shot: fast and effortless. You turn this formality into a simple forehand, allowing your clients to fully enjoy their stay.

Billing is not tied to reservations but to client profiles. You can use the billing screen to track client consumption by recording the products and services provided. By default, Mews adds all client items to the Unpaid Items/Deposits section. For example, if you add several bar products to a client’s profile, these items will appear in the Unpaid/Deposits section.

You can easily move these items to another invoice, whether it’s the client’s or another client’s. Modifying an item is just as easy. When you modify an item on an invoice, Mews records it in the invoice and order action log for future reference and displays the corrected items on the client’s dashboard, with links to the correction and the corrected invoice.

If needed, you can delete items from an open invoice. It’s important to check if the consumption date and the editable history window have passed. If so, Mews adjusts the item. If not, Mews removes the item from the invoice without creating an adjustment.

Need to make changes to a closed invoice? It’s now very simple. Before reissuing an issued or closed invoice, Mews recommends updating your counters so the system can automatically assign numbers to invoices. You can also easily refund a closed invoice. Note that only users with the Rebate items and reissue bills and invoices permission can perform these actions on closed invoices. To see the details, simply click on the transaction ID.

All these transactions contribute to your revenue. To track what is deposited into your registered bank account in your integration, you can rely on the payout report . This report facilitates the reconciliation process and focuses on the breakdown between gross, net amounts, and commissions. It also displays all transactions included in a batch. To change the bank account where you receive your payouts, just complete this form

After their stay, some of your clients may dispute a charge. Be vigilant, Mews will always send you an email to notify you, and you must respond within 48 hours with evidence supporting your case. We recommend activating the chargeback  notification option in your payment integration if you haven’t already done so. This will allow you to be immediately notified and respond in time.

With Mews, you are prepared for any eventuality and now know how to handle various billing scenarios.
