Confirmation mode ("do not send" and "send") for booking confirmation and quotation

Hello everyone,
we've noticed that when creating a reservation, on the “Details” page, the confirmation mode defaults to “Do not send”. By changing the reservation status (to Requested or Optional) or even back to Confirmed, the confirmation mode automatically changes from “Do not send” to “Send”. This can be a source of error if the person making the reservation doesn't notice it. I think it would be preferable for the confirmation mode to default to “Do not send”, and for the person making the reservation to change it manually if necessary.
what do you think?

Hi @sdorville,

that indeed seems inconsistent from a UX point of view. There is no setting for “Send quotations by default” as there is for Confirmations. That’s why in the moment we’re switching to optional, that field is set to “Send”. But I agree, apart from that there should be a setting for default for Quotations as well, it should switch back for the default for Confirmations when going back to the confirmed status.

It’s probably best if you raise a support ticket for this.

Hi @Svenja ,

Yes, I’ve opened a support ticket for that.
