Hey everyone 👋

Have you got an unused space in your hotel that’s just gathering dust? An empty server room after moving to Mews, perhaps 👀

Well, as remote work becomes more popular, demand for flexible workspaces is rising. By transforming that old server room into a coworking space* and offering it through Mews Spaces, you could bring in more revenue and attract a wider range of guests to your hotel.

Why coworking spaces just make sense for hotels

  • Hotels are already set up to receive guests en masse.

  • Workspaces can attract a wider range of guests, as well as local remote workers.

  • They bring a new, steady income stream, even out of season.

Ok... but how to go about adding a coworking space to your hotel?

  1. Is there demand? Talk to local businesses and guests to figure out if a coworking space will add value. If the answer’s no, then a coworking space probably isn’t for you.

  1. Is there space? Look for a spot that’s accessible and welcoming but won’t get in the way of your overnight guests. Think lobbies or unused lounges.

  1. Can you make it work? Make sure to fill your space with ergonomic furniture, good lighting and plugs so guests come back time and time again.

If the answer’s yes to the above, then a coworking space could be a great way to increase your hotel’s revenue.
