Hey there, awesome Mews users! 😎

We've noticed a growing demand for managing bikes 🚴 and boats 🛥️️ on Mews. Currently, we don't support them, but we're totally up for it if you are!

We know some of you have been using workarounds to make it happen, and we appreciate your creativity! But wouldn't it be awesome to have these resources directly integrated into Mews?

Hi @MarketaOupi, 

We need bikes, we have setup our first hourly service and have had to use the Space Type as 'Team Area'

We will be adding these to 10 properties, so really need a more appropriate type. 

We've also had the request to set it up with Surfboards & kayaks, so i believe it would be best to allow custom products that can be renamed per enterprise.

This isn’t a real necessity for us as we don’t rent any bikes or boats…
But I do see the need to create both. Not sure why you would wait for the upvotes on the feedback page to create this. There are many properties who never check the community or the feedback pages, but who would greatly benefit from this.


However, I do agree with @Mick  that hotels should have more freedom to rename/create services themselves. I know this is restricted as it’s related pricing in the Mews bill, but maybe a work-around (via the Customer Success Managers) could be a solution for this?

Yes we have also been looking into bikes recently but cannot use with the current names, as Mick said being able to name ourselves would be perfect, understanding there needs to be some guidance on space sizes - hopefully bikes/kayaks etc. would be classes as XS 😁

We would love to create our bikes or parking spaces as additional services. Apart from the issue of not having a space type name (or creating one ourselves) in my opinion paying the same subscription fee for a bed is just not cost-effective. 
We have learned MEWS has not classified any of the space types as XS.

Waiting for MEWS comes up with an affordable price for XS “spaces” which might make me reconsider going ahead with additional spaces. 

It's a NO-NO at the moment, sorry MEWS!
