Here's a recap of a recent discussion and some valuable insights:

Emergency Reports: Your Lifeline in Crisis: 🌈

In the dynamic hospitality world, emergencies can stem from various sources. Whether it's a system glitch, internet blackout, or power outage, having a plan in place is crucial. Here's a concise overview of key insights:

Why These Reports Matter:

  1. Guests in-house report: Track guests that are currently in the property and their details

  2. Space status report: Monitor housekeeping status of all the spaces at your property.

  3. Reservation report: Access detailed data on active reservations, notes, and products.

  4. Accounting ledger: Gain an overview of guest profiles with pending balances.

  5. Availability & Occupancy report: Monitor occupancy, availability, and nightly rates.

Report Frequency:

To ensure real-time data during emergencies, schedule these reports hourly. Be prepared for any situation with the latest information at your fingertips.

Implementation Strategy:

  1. Send reports to your front office reception email address.

  2. Open them only when needed – your emergency toolkit.

  3. Schedule reports hourly for the most recent data.

Have a look at our help article, where we advise properties in details, including the suggested filters for each report.

As we approach a new year, we wish you a fantastic 2024 – filled with prosperity, success, and joy. Stay safe, stay informed, and let's make the upcoming year extraordinary together! 🚀

Hi there!

Thank you for reminding everybody of this important task!

However, I doubt that it is a reasonble way to send a massive amount of GDPR / personal data over email, unencrypted for everybod to see! How do you plan to ensure conidentiality and integrity of the data? FTP-Export is only available for Enterprise Subscriptions, which is ridiculous. sFTP export  targets should be available to all subscriptions. What is the MEWS position on that?

Best regards,

Jean-Philipp.
