We’re excited to offer a small number of properties (European-based only) early access to our new feature: Multicurrency by Mews Payments. 

Participants will enjoy being among the first to use the feature, receive dedicated support and gain a new revenue channel.

 

Recap: what is Multicurrency? 

Multicurrency is a brand-new feature designed to let international guests pay in their preferred currency and enable you to collect extra revenue. 

 

The current challenge 

Cross-border transactions can be a significant pain point for both guests and properties. They often lead to: 

  • Frustration: hidden fees and unpredictable costs for guests. 

  • Confusion: a lack of transparency, unclear exchange rates and prices not matching bank statements. 

  • Lost revenue opportunities: guests' banks take markup fees without providing real-time conversions. With Multicurrency, you can offer real-time conversions and capture those markup fees yourself. 

Unsatisfactory experiences can hurt your guest offering, ultimately impacting repeat bookings, customer loyalty and future revenue. Everything you want to avoid.

Currently we are just operating for Properties in Europe, but we aim to open this feature in the US shortly.

Hello Sylvain,

This is a feature that will work for Online Payments (Booking Engine and Payment Requests for now) and Terminals S1 and S2 on Stripe.
Exactly as you say, now Mews can do the conversion during the payment process and charging an extra fee to the guest in order to cover costs, and a percentage goes to the property.

This Beta is currently available only in Europe for Stripe for now - for Terminals and Online payments. We aim to open it in new markets soon!
