What should you be looking at when deciding tools from the Marketplace?

Connecting to different integrations has become a natural transition from our old custom ways in the hospitality industry. We've moved from on-premise solutions to the cloud. ⛅

This step involves constructing a tech stack capable of responding to your needs and even acting as a savior for your business. 💻🛡️

At Mews, we've noticed the trends. Over the last couple of years, on average, Mewsers have gone from 4 integrations to almost 6 integrations per property. A testament to how the Mews Marketplace continues to grow over time, with over 650+ integrations today! Clearly, the ability to connect to almost any solution within a single click is having its intended effect. 💹

Naturally, hotel operators strive to create the perfect environment in our hotels for both clients and colleagues. But how do you actually choose the ideal integrations that fit your specific operational needs?

The first part will always be defining a budget that factors in what you are and are not willing to do without. Being realistic in knowledge that nothing ever comes for free. So, depending on all the elements you want, the budget will almost certainly elevate. 💰

Once you've identified the type of tool you want to put in place, don't hesitate to contact several vendors so you can compare several aspects: pricing, functionalities, and the legal environment.

Be your own consultant as you know what’s best for your property. Do a checklist of all your needs and the hoped functionalities in your ideal tool. Send that to the vendors and await their responses.

The advantages: it will give you an idea of how much you'll need to spend, and you’ll immediately see the limitations.

Two critical considerations which are often neglected until it is far later than ideal: legal environment and feedback.

The first might just eliminate certain vendors who simply cannot service your region for one or multiple reasons. The second yields understanding on the specifics. Case studies and subjects which might afford additional inspiration as to what your business should actually be looking for.

There are far too many hospitality tech journals to mention just one. That said, we can acknowledge that HotelTechReport has established a reputation for being an impartial and informative source. As we all know, the best feedback is the kind that organically comes directly from the people who create the moments. We are all in the people business after all.

Our goal at Mews is simple: make our 'customers' lives easier. We have so much experience and ways to help enable your unique industry projects. We absolutely love making a difference! ❤️🌟

Every customer at Mews is assigned a Customer Success Manager. They’re really nice and they love hearing from you! Don’t hesitate to reach out to them. 🙋‍♀️📞

Want more than just our word for it? How about receiving direct feedback from your global Mewser peers? Who better to respond to your daily use questions than actual Hoteliers using those same tools!? With 'Open' as one of our five core tenets, Mews is a firm believer in encouraging the active and open sharing of information.

This also led to the creation of the Mews community. Share not just your knowledge but all the questions you may have. It’s the best of both worlds. Getting a full spectrum of answers from your peers and also us 👥🌐

If your idea is so pioneering that you have yet to see it covered by anyone, why not build it! Mews Open API can probably help you unlock the vision and get you where you need to be.

Feel free to leave a comment, we love to hear from you! 🙌
