Hey Mews Community!

We’re back with some important industry updates to help you stay ahead in the game! 🌟 As hoteliers, it's not just about creating a welcoming atmosphere for our guests, but also about keeping our systems secure. In today’s digital world, cyber threats are always evolving, and it's essential to protect your business, your data, and your guests. 🛡️

Here are 7 simple tips to help keep your hospitality accounts safe:

  1. Watch Out for Phishing Campaigns 🕵️️‍♂️
Avoid clicking on fake links or login pages! Always type in the URL directly and double-check it before entering your details. Report anything suspicious to your IT team.

  2. Use Strong, Unique Passwords 💪🔑
Don’t reuse passwords! Make sure each one is unique and includes a mix of letters, numbers, and symbols for extra strength.

  3. Use a Password Manager 🛠️
Store your passwords safely and generate strong ones with a password manager. You'll only need to remember one master password!

  4. Turn on Two-Factor Authentication (2FA) 📲
Add an extra layer of protection! Even if someone has your password, they can't log in without the verification code sent to your phone. More info on 2FA here.

  5. Keep an Eye on New Logins 👀
Enable alerts for new device logins to prevent unauthorized access. You’ll get notified every time someone logs in from an unknown device.

  6. Train Your Team 👨🏫
Make sure your staff is well-trained in spotting cyber threats like phishing emails, and keep them updated on the latest security practices.

  7. Use Single Sign-On (SSO) 🚪
Simplify your team's access by using SSO, where one login unlocks everything they need, reducing password-related risks.

By following these steps, you’ll protect your business and your guests from digital threats. 🛡️✨
