Hi Sandra,

the City Tax, Kurtaxe, Bettensteuer is a very anoying work which we are forced from city/authorities!

However there is a function in Mews to enable this.

In one of our properties we do have a city tax meaning that 3,21% of the estimated revenue (Accomodation only) have to be extra taxed.

We did this as follows:

1. Create a Accounting Category to track this revenue to ERP
2. Create a Product, connect it to the accounting category & and set the correct values. See our sample here. Consider gross/net revenue and estimated tax

   

    
   3. Create a product rule to add this product to the specific reservations/rates the tax should be applied.
   4. Tax will be automatically added from Mews based on the settings

Also think about creating an additonal product to make sure it can be added at the billing tab. Wirh the accounting report you can track the taxes

PS: Dont forget to push this information on Site, OTAs & all booking Channels

Une petite astuce supplémentaire pour la création de la règle produit pour la taxe de séjour:

Pour qu’elle s’applique à toutes les réservations automatiquement, dans le champ “priorité” mettre “-1”
Puis laisser le reste des champs vide.

Ensuite dans “action de la règle” sélectionner ajouter la taxe.
