Why can't I schedule this report export schedule?

Mews is not allowing me to schedule this export- it resets the configuration and asks for an interval. Is it the size of the export?

Mews doesn’t provide any report that shows market segmentation, by day, so the only way for us to create a segment level report is using the reservation level details.

Hello @crawforc , thank you for your question!

This issue typically occurs because the "Save" button under the "Report Configuration" screen needs to be clicked before proceeding to the "Export Schedule" settings. If changes are made and saved in the "Export Schedule" without first saving the "Report Configuration" (where the "Interval" field is located), the "Interval" field will be deselected. To resolve this, ensure you select the "Interval" field and save the "Report Configuration" before making any further changes.

Hope this helps! Should you have additional questions, please don’t hesitate to let us know!

~ Kind regards,

Hi @crawforc

also feel free to share, which information you’re trying to get with this report, because if you wanted your segments, you’d use the grouped version anyway, or for room nights the time spent report, but the filters you have in the screenshot don’t seem to be very beneficial if I understand you question correctly..

Thank you, this was the problem. The message pop up is only “select interval”, a different error message would be helpful.

I need a report that shows on the books by market segment, by day. This does not exist even though it’s a very basic report.

So, my only solution is to do a full export of all of the reservations and create a solution in excel using this report.

Hi @crawforc,

what about these filters in the reservation report:

(That way Mews already gives you a total of reservations per Segment, no need to manually do that in Excel)

This would give me an individual day. I need the entire year by day, or the entire year at least by month, broken out by segment.

Ah okay, now I understand. Yes indeed, the only report in Mews that lets you do both, group and subgroup, is the Customer Statistics one, but that doesn’t give you an option to group by date.

Your best bet to avoid manual excel work (in case you hate that as much as I do) would probably be to connect a proper BI-tool like Fairmas (Fairplanner) for example. Also most Revenue Management Systems provide those type of statistics much better than Mews currently does..

The API call for that is currently under construction but with that you could also setup an automation with Zapier that informs you when a certain availability has been reached, so you wouldn’t even manually need to look at the entire year all the time but instead only look at dates of interest to you.

Thanks, yeah, we got Lighthouse BI,  but the reporting isn’t giving us what we need there either. No RMS in the works as we’re trying to keep costs low, but it might be required at this point, so many things are needing to be solved for with an external system or manual process.

Appreciate the response.
