I have a general question about guests who book prepaid reservations through online travel agencies . Do you ask them for a credit card when they check in to cover any extra expenses? How do you best handle this?

Hi there
Since we had several guests in the past, that didn’t pay the city tax and we couldn’t reach them after check-out, we decided, to take credit cards from these guests on check-in and put the number, cardholder and exp. date into their profile right away.
strangely enough we didn’t had any failures since then 😉

thank you for your reply, we also had some similar issues with extras, i have already started asking credit card at check in too:)
