what is the difference between "Mews payments - stripe" and "terminal" when putting card payments in?

Hi Lisa,
The Mews Payment - Stripe option will process the Payment through the Mews system and the Stripe Gateway.
The Terminal Option will not process any payment and would only be used to record in Mews a transaction you processed via a terminal from another provider not connected to Mews.
