Excel exports or connections from Mews to DATEV Unternehmen Online via OmniBoost

Hello dear Mews Community!

We have changed our tax advisor. Until now, we worked with a physical folder, and 7 pages of the Mews accounting report were manually recorded. Now, we are transitioning to a digital exchange with a digitally equipped tax advisor.

Are there any comparable hotels that digitally transfer their Mews accounting reports to their tax advisor? If so, what experiences have you had, and how do you work with Excel exports or connections from Mews to DATEV Unternehmen Online via OmniBoost?

I would appreciate specific feedback. Looking forward to your insights!

I don’t know what’s a comparable hotel to you, but I have clients between 10 and 10.000 rooms and an Accounting integration is definitely the way to go!

MEWS says, the datas for your tax advisor should be transmittable via Omniboost in a CVS-Form for the DATEV-import into your tax-advisors system. Because of missing clearly descriptions and samples we are not able to use this automatic datatransport and we have to print out the corresponding data in the Bookkeeping-Report and the tax advisor has to put in all theese datas manually into his system. We are trying to find a solution with the MEWS-Support, maybe there will come a solution … maybe

@Harald_p the Mews support doesn’t facilitate this. I have numerous clients that use the Datev integration via Omniboost and it works. It’s very important though, that a) the Accounting configuration throughout the system in Mews are correct and b) Omniboost was given correct information about Accounting flows etc.

@Svenja yes, I’m sure it works fine IF “Accounting configuration throughout the system in Mews are correct”. But it doesn’t seem so and we can’t find anybody who could give us a hint for correct ledger-account numbers. The flow from MEWS via Omniboost to DATEV is working, but the CSV-list’s for the accountant doesn’t show any useful data because of a certainly wrong account configuration.
If you are working with several DATEV-integrations: maybe you can tell me what ledger accounts you are using and theirs account-numbers. We are working with Datev SK04-Kontenrahmen. Maybe you can send me a screen print of a DATEV-working Account-Configuration or I can send you this screenprint from our side for checking and correcting?

With the very best regards,

Harald

Hallo Harald,

@jessica.becker
