I was wondering if anyone else has had this issue with Mews and Booking.com. Or knows what can cause it?

Our Inventory updating was turned off due to an unexplained error. This is bound to cause huge problems. This was the error message we were sent from Mews:

<?xml version='1.0' standalone='yes'?>

<availability>

<fault code="401"

string="Authorization Required" />

</availability>

All your inventory operations are disabled because of the error and no updates are being sent!

It’s been about a month with little to no explanation from Mews or Booking.com.

Hello @Jones and thank you for your question!  🙌🏻

Let me check this with our connectivity team and get back to you!

I know we reached out to Booking regarding the same and we are still waiting for them to come back, but I´ll try to get more details!

Have a great week ahead! 🌞

Hi @Jones,

I found this article on the Booking.com Partnerhub:

https://portal.connectivity.booking.com/s/article/Why-am-I-getting-unauthorized-errors?language=en_US

Maybe this can help you further when contacting your contract manager @B.com?

Regards,

Matthias

Hi @MatthiasH,

This is really helpful. I will put that article past our booking.com account manager as it is also what Mews came up with. Errors like this are always really costly and we never get answers.

Thanks!

Sam

Hi @Jones,

From what I can tell, the issue is with Booking.com…

Good luck with this!

Matthias

Hi @Jones

We have had this occur randomly at several sites however not recently, re enabling in Mews marketplace has always worked.

We were unable to establish why it occured and have taken a monitor approach, if any channel is disabled the email is reouted to our revenue & IT team to investigate & resolve.

Hi @Jones,

thank you for your patience!

The connectivity team from Booking.com have confirmed this has been isolated glitch on their side.

Have a nice weekend ahead!
