Our breakfast team is old fashioned and wants a printed list-paperversion of guests/rooms with and without breakfast. They do not want to work on a ipad/digital device. (because the risk of theft and messy fingers that can not be used on i digital device...) How do i find a list like this?
Kindly advice!
Thanks

Hi Maria,
Thanks for your post.
Appreciate your reasoning about how messy it may get during breakfast, those who have worked in hotel restaurants know a thing or two about it
I think the Product checklist is what you are looking for. With the checklist, you can easily filter by products, easily displaying only those reservations/rooms that have breakfast included.
You can also add reservation that do not include breakfast products by selecting the following option in the filters:
This is, of course, just a digital version of the checklist. However, you can simply print it straight from your browser by using Ctrl + P command on your keyboard (hint*: hide the filters with the top right corner filter icon). Beware that some softwares or browsers may use a different keyboard shortcut.
Let me know if this was of help or you require further details.
Best,
Ivan
Hi @Ivan Fernandez,
Thank you for answering….
But..
Yes, i have also done soo - Ctrl p -- BUT ! it only shows part of the rooms!! When i order the rooms from low to high; 001,002 101 and so on it only prints up to 4/5 of the rooms!? the last 10-15 rooms on the highest nr doent show up!! in our case almost al rooms on 5 floor is gone! Not on the list!
Very very strange. And yes- have tried all ways of modifing- printer settings - browser - laptop - stationary….
5 floor=not on the list.

Hi
thanks for your comment. I think I understand where that issue is coming from.
If you scrolled all the way down to the very bottom of the report, you should see a row similar to the following one:
On the left hand side, highlighted in blue in the screenshot above, you should be able to select a larger number on the drop-down menu. This option would help displaying a larger number of rows, covering, hopefully the whole of your active reservations.
In case this option isn’t visible or you are still finding issues, please don’t hesitate to raise this via a support ticket and we will take care of it.
Best,
Ivan
Hello again!
Dear @Ivan Fernandez,
We have tried that to. It doesnt work.
I have adjusted how many the the list should show 25-50-75-100.. print 1 page, print 2 page… no difference.
it doesn work.
Hi Maria,
Thanks again for your message.
After checking this with my colleagues, we realized that for some reason we aren’t able to get the system to print some of the bottom rows of the report, no matter what we try.
I’d like to ask you to open a ticket with our support team, so we can escalate the case to our developers to check on this.
Please reach back to us if you have any further enquiries.
Best regards,
Ivan

Dear Mews Support Team,
I am writing to address the same issue we've encountered with printing the breakfast list from our Mews system, and to seek a more efficient solution.
Currently, to print the breakfast list, we need to go through a cumbersome process: 1. Export the list from Mews. 2. Import it into Excel. 3. Manually clean up and remove unnecessary data.
This process takes more than five minutes, which is quite inefficient for our operation. I have observed that many smaller and more affordable programs have a simple "Print Breakfast List" button. This functionality allows users to print the full list with just one click, without the need for any additional steps or data manipulation.
I understand that the forum is a great place to seek advice from colleagues and occasionally get a solution from someone at Mews. However, opening a case for this issue just to route it to the developers, and then waiting in hope for a resolution, seems like a lengthy and avoidable process.
Could someone from the support team escalate this matter directly to the developers? Having a straightforward print button would significantly streamline our workflow and improve daily operations.
Thank you for your understanding and I look forward to your prompt response.

Hello!
I have “opened a ticket” yesterday 27/8 - hopefully someone takes action.
♀️
Kind regards
Maria
Thanks for the effort
@barb00sa we’ve stumbled across the export/print problem too. I would have a lot to say about this topic but just wanted to give you a little tipp here that makes your life hopefully a little bit easier:

Hello @jones.eth Thanks for the tip, it took me a while to figure out how to set the macro, but it worked. Meanwhile I also see that we can click on the old one in "House Report" again, so now the easiest way to work is to use the old report again. But thanks for the tip, which I can use for other purposes as well ;-)
