Good morning, y'all!

I have a little problem that I'm not sure how to solve. When people are making a reservation online and they want to stay in a room set up for 2 people, but with 3 persons (by adding an extra bed), I want the booking engine to automatically add the extra bed for every night of the booking. After that, I would also like this to be turned into a task for housekeeping. How can I handle this?

Thank you in advance for your replies.

Warm regards

Hello!

You can setup pricing accordingly, you just have to set up the maximum occupancy and standard occupancy in the space type configuration first, then you can set the pricing in the rates pricing configuration.

However, to my knowledge it’s currently not possible to create housekeeping tasks automatically.

We use Sweeply for our housekeeping staff (they do not use mews accounts, but only the sweeply app on our company issued smart phones) and have a procedure for front office staff in place to amend notes in sweeply in the evening for the next day… that’s as good as it gets at this time, I believe. Would love to see some automation here, like automatic creation of housekeeping notes based on certain triggers and selectively exporting housekeeping notes to housekeeping management integrations…  But I understand it’s not some low hanging fruit for developers.

OTOH, maybe we could get someone excited by involving AI? Have AI analyze you reservations and have it create your tasks and special notes… what about that? Would be more helpful than the „smart“ tips, right?

Hi,

jp. is right. There is no chance to create a task automatically.

Unfortunately, you cannot see when the standard allocation is exceeded.
I see only two possibilities, your housekeeping knows which rooms need an extra bed if there are 3 people in the reservation, or your reservation, or the FO sets a task.

A development around the tasks would be really nice, by the way. ;-)

Best regards
