Hi Robin,
The best thing you can do is to set up those doors in the door lock software, once that's done I believe you'll have to map the spaces in the key cutter integration in Mews.
After this, the key cutter software should be able to recognize the door and connect them as common doors, which every guest should have access to during their stay.
The article I found around it was referring back to the lock software as well, but since this is quite a specific case I advise you to create a case with our support team who can guide you through the process.
How can I add common doors for key cutters in Mews?
I hope this helps!
Hello @merel.vanzuiden
We have already programmed the common doors, but unfortunately, we are unable to do the same for the parking. The parking is an additional paid service that not every guest opts for, and similarly, the bike storage is only for guests who bring their own bicycles.
Therefore, it would be helpful if we could have a checkbox option when writing the key card to select whether parking and bike storage should be included. Currently, we have to re-read the card and manually select these options each time, which makes the process cumbersome.
Best regards,
Robin
Hi Robin @barb00sa ,
I've spoken to one of our solutions architects to see if we could come up with something for this situation. We currently have a theory of how it could work, so I'll write that below. But please do create a ticket for our support team and let me know the number so I can tag the right person internally to do some tests.
The theory is, that if you have parking as an additional bookable service you could map those parking spaces separately to Hotek. Since you have conditional doors, if the guest books parking they get access, we would have to see if Hotek can receive 2 reservations (1x parking, 1x room) and create 1 single key for that.
The reason why we think it could maybe work, is because it does work the other way. If there is 1 reservation for 2 guests, 2 keys can be created. So now we have to find out if the opposite can be done as well.
As mentioned, please create a case and keep me posted so we can test this theory. When you click on my name here in the community you can send the case number directly to me, or mention in the ticket that you want to add me in copy ([email protected]).
Unfortunately, it is not a guarantee that it would work. But at least we'll have a starting point.
Kind regards,
Hello @merel.vanzuiden ,

Hi @barb00sa,
This is Odette from the Mews Support Team. Hope you are well! Just wanted to let you know via this post as well that I have just sent you an email via the ticket that @merel.vanzuiden had created for you about the Hotek key cutter functionality discussed in this thread.
For reference in the Mews Community, I will also share the concluding findings here:
After thorough internal investigation we can share that it is currently unfortunately not possible to create 1 key with access to 2 different spaces. The alternative is to create an individual key for each of the spaces.
Our apologies that we are unable to meet the desired set up with the current functionalities, but please note we strongly value your opinion as we strive to continuously improve our services.
I noticed there is currently a feature request posted in our feedback portal here, so we kindly invite you to participate in sharing your vote to increase the chances of it being worked on!
Warm regards,
Odette
Hello Odette, @Odette
Thank you for all the effort you and your team have put into investigating the Hotek key cutter functionality. While it's unfortunate that a solution isn't available at the moment, I truly appreciate your thoroughness and transparency.
I'm hopeful that in the future, we'll find a way to meet the desired setup. In the meantime, I've added my vote to the feature request in your feedback portal.
Thanks again for your support and dedication!
Warm regards,
Robin
