Good morning everyone,

A new day, and therefore a new question! 🙂 I would like to connect our POS (Lightspeed K-series) with a second bookable service (meeting rooms). Is there possibly a tutorial or workflow available on how to do this?

Kind regards and thank you in advance!

Hi @Pierrick ,

Thanks for the question! On our help pages you can find how to connect your POS to Mews. I noticed that you already have the POS connected to your restaurant additional service, so it would be the same workflow.

It's not possible to connect this type of integration to a different bookable service, however if you create a Meeting & Events additional service you'll be able to select it when connecting a second POS integration through the Marketplace.

How to complete Lightspeed K-series mapping?

In case you require additional assistance, I advice to create a case through the chat so our support team can jump in if needed.

I hope this helps!

Kind regards,

Merel

Hi Merel,

Thank you for your reply.

The issue is that the help pages only explain how to handle one bookable service. I have two bookable services: the first is "Stay" for the rooms, and the second is "Meeting Rooms." The main difference is that "Stay" is booked by the day, while "Meeting Rooms" is booked by the hour. How is it possible that two large companies as Mews and Lightspeed are unable to handle such a simple question, especially when I don't think we are the only hotel in the world facing this issue?

Kind regards

@Pierrick Thanks for the quick reply!
As per my message above, you will have to create an ‘additional service’, that's the only way it works for this type of integration. So it's totally possible to connect your lightspeed account through a second integration. But you will have to select another additional service, not a bookable one.
This integration is not based on bookable services, which means you need to create one just like the restaurant service in order to connect a second Lightspeed account.

Kind regards,

Merel

Where can I find you last screenshot? In my integration I can’t select the different services.

Good afternoon Pierrick,

The settings needed for this action are greyed out or even not visible from the Mews side.
You have to contact Omniboost for this, they can set up the system you want through the middleware connection.

Best regards,
Egon

@Pierrick it's good to note that whilst @Egon Lagrou is correct if you'd like to change the current integration to a different service, you do need a 2nd Lightspeed integration in the Marketplace if you want to run them both at the same time. That way you'll be able to select the right service (meeting&events).

I hope this helps, if you have any further questions, please reach out to our support team through the tickets, so they can help you.

Kind regards,

Merel

Thx Merel. I prefer to ask the questions through the community. That is going much faster then waiting on the Mews- support. I made a ticket 3 days ago. No feedback at all. Sorry Mews but your support is not that good to be honest 😁

Good afternoon everybody,

In the meantime, I received a reply from Omniboost stating that we would need a second business location to enable this type of operation. I was thinking that this is quite common in our industry. Does this mean that everyone with a Mews-Lightspeed setup has to invest in two separate business locations?

Warm regards
