Hi!

First of all, best wishes to you all!

For two hotels we use a separate bookable service for parking spots. Is there a way to keep the status of these parking spaces on inspected at all times? We would like to check-in parking reservations automatically at 3 pm without changing the statuses from dirty to inspected every time the parking is used.

I have enabled automatic check-in already however, that only works with an inspected status of the parking spot assigned.

Thank you in advance!

Warm regards,

Daphne

Hi @Daphne Roorda, did you try to untick the options "check in makes a space dirty” and 'check out makes a space dirty’ in the parking bookable service?

We also work with parking as a bookable service. Out of curiousity: how do you deal with no shows when using automatic check-in?

Hi @Roy , Thank you so much for your reply. Yes, we indeed have these two option unticked and it keeps the room on the clean status.

We have a digital concept where there is not always someone physically at the reception. Therefore, we also check in our stays automatically to use that trigger to send out the digital keys at check-in time. We monitor the use of the digital keys to see if a guest indeed did arrive. If there is a no show we use to option ‘undo check-in’ in Mews.

Hello @Daphne Roorda

Well the thing is that if the parking spot in not used during a certain amount of time (7 days I think) Mews put it back in dirty to do the “Legionella cleaning” even it the status was clean inspected and the check-in and check-out rules are correct

Indeed, to my knowledge, there is no distinction between a room space and a parking space regarding the cleaning rules.

Maybe a solution would be to set the housekeeping interval for the service to 365 days, and then create a task for when the time is over to put the space back to clean/inspected and so on, but not sure if it even works…

Maybe @Aldair Borges  or @alzbeta skrabalkova  or @MarketaOupi  would be of a better help

Regards 😉

Hi everybody,
thank you for this thread. I came here to find out if it is possible to deactivate the Legionella function for distinct services, as this is not helpful for parking spots. I just opened a ticket as well, if this is somehow possible. Will update on news.

Kind regards

Tobias

Hey @tobiaskoehler!

can you DM me the ticket number you opened with our support please?

I was not able to find your ticket, which I want to monitor 😎

Thank you!

Hi @MarketaOupi ,

I opened it via the Digital Onboarding Tool for Inselhäuser Norderney.

Thx and kind regards

Hello @tobiaskoehler,

I saw my colleague got back to, so at the moment the switching off is not possible.

I found this feature request, that has quite some votes already, but it would be amazing to upvote it as much as possible, so this feature gets prioritized!

Hoping this helps 🙂

Hi @MarketaOupi , thx for the link. I upvoted the request.

Not sure what you mean with “I saw my colleague got back to...”. If you mean, he/ she got back to me: I did not receive an email or message within Mews about this.

kind regards

Tobias

Hey @tobiaskoehler,

I am checking it with my colleague Debbie, as I see her email from 8th January, but I think the recipient ID was not correct, so it never reached you 😣.

Anyway, I talked to the Spacetime team, that would be responsible for this feature and it is defiantly on their radar for this year, but we don´t have the exact date yet 🗓️

Once I know more, I will let you all know! 💡
