Hi, I was wondering if it was possible to reduce the number of automatic mails sent from mews. For example, guests sometimes receive the online check-in mail etc twice and it is sometimes a bit much in our opinion.

Hi Guys,Need your help!We have been talking with MEWS team for long time about this subject. As per MEWS Representative, MEWS can create packages by adding the product(s) to the room rate. We cannot create such as internal allocation where the guest no need to know how much individual cost. For example, we want to create Summer package for USD 450 as selling price  both for direct booking and display on the website as well,(see below breakdown for inclusions and internal allocation).Would appreciated if you can help this matter.Thank you very much in advance. Hello all,Over the past few weeks, we've been experiencing consistent issues with the email addresses disappearing at the point of customer checkout, when we make the invoice. We've had to manually re-enter the email addresses every time in order to send the customer their invoice via email. Additionally, there have been instances where the email address has disappeared from the customer's sheet as well, but not always.We're unsure as to whether this is a bug in the program or if customers are deleting their own email addresses from their customer sheet. Could you please investigate this matter?I've attached an example of a customer record where the email address was disappeard,as well as an example of an invoice where the email address has disappeared.Thank you for your prompt attention to this matter.Best ragards Robin

Hallo Zusammen,aktuell haben wir für die Ratenladung unsere DZ Preise hinterlegt.Somit können wir bei einer negativ Belegung einen festen Betrag festsetzen (EZ) und für eine Zusatzbelegung (3Bett). Wir arbeiten mit dynamischen Preisen.Wir hatten überlegt auf EZ Preise umzustellen, allerdings kamen uns hier dann die Kinderpreise in die Quere. Unser CM kann dies darstellen, allerdings implementieren wir gerade noch Event Temple und Sie können nur mit einer EZ Belegung “kommunizieren”.Wie händelt Ihr das? Sobald ich EZ Preise bei der Ratenladung einstelle zerschießt es mir sämtliche Preise für die Kinder und auch die Dreibettbelegung. Von MEWS wird empfohlen, dass wenn ein Zimmer für eine Belegung von 2 Personen ausgelegt ist da ein Doppelbett drin steht, sollte man auch die Preise für DZ laden und nicht für EZ. Liebe Grüße und vorab vielen Dank ich hoffe ich habe mich einigermaßen verständlich ausgedrückt ;-)Nina

For companies nearby we have contracts for which their guests can stay in our hotel with a discount and payment after departure per invoice.We have noticed that for returning guests, their open bill doesn’t appear in the Accounting Ledger as they have future stays attached to their profile. Our Front Office team doesn’t make the official invoice at check-out. Therefore bills tend to get very high within a short period of time.Would the only way to make the outstanding payments visible in the Accounting Ledger be for the Front Office to make the invoice after departure?Would Payment Routings help in this case?Thank you very much in advance!

Heyo,Does anyone have a way to use an event calendar inside of Mews rather than external apps/programs?At the Arcade Hotel, we host quite a few events, and have been using tasks to inform our staff. Nothing shows up on timeline, nothing shows up in notifications, only if they check tasks (which they do). What is everyone else using?Dan

Hello!I have been using MEWS for a month now, and so far so good but I would like to ask if there was a way to setup the default filters in some reports. Or maybe to save the selected filters and create a report of your liking. I know it’s possible to schedule exports, but it’s an excel sheet and when I’m having a look for some things I like to see it within MEWS, but then again, I always have to select the right filters every time.Looking forward to hearing from you! Kind regards,Sergi

Hi smart people,do you know a way how to access a chat with a guest via reservation? Is there some option to activate that shows the chat history in a reservation or guest profile similar to the notes?Sometimes we receive information that would be great to access again via reservation overview rather than having to search for this one chat with this one guest.I know how to access the reservation that is linked to a chat, however, not the other way around. Thank you and kind regardsTobias

In doing our government reporting audit, I need to go back and check bills that are associated with reservations.How can I quickly and easily find bills that are associated with a particular reservation after the bills have been closed?As a reminder - once bills are closed - they disappear from the reservation (screenshot below)_ Thank you :)Ethan  

Hi All,  We have a company who make a lot of reservations and they have multiple receptionists who make the bookings and they all use the same email adres (reception@…….) is there a way to have to have multiple bookers with the same email adres so that all emails and invoices are addressed to the right receptionist?  

I wanted to make daily pick-up report comparing on the books from yesterday vs. today. Our Hotel did not subscribe MEWS Analytics. Any recommendation how to proceed manually on MEWS. Thanks

Hi everyone,  I have a question about the news app and its nottifications. Some of our employees do recieve notifications about guest messages and some don't. They all have the option “recieve guest messages” enabled in their profile. They all have the newest IOS (16.3.1) but some of them don't even see mews under the settings. Any idea how to fix this?  It seems very random who gets the messages and who don't..

Hi Mews community,I was wondering if any of the countries using Maestro for payments has found a solution for payments in the merchant. Currently we are loosing out to bookings to major OTA's who do accept Maestro. However, when a guests books through Mews he cannot use Maestro.Thank you for your thoughts 🙂

Hello Mewsers!I am wondering if someone can assist me with adding a purchase order number to an invoice in Mews. Certain customers require this information on their invoices, but I am unable to locate the option in Mews' online help. Thank you!

Do any MEWS community members out there have tips on best practices to get the guest to provide their own personal card to hold for any future damages if they have booked through an OTA that pays by virtual card from the OTA? Our property policies require full payment prior to check in.  We require a personal credit card to be on file in case there are damages or incidentals.  Typically the personal credit card use to make the payment will be also held on file for damages or incidentals. This works except in the case where a guest has pre-paid the OTA like Booking or Expedia, and then the OTA gives us a virtual credit card to charge for the payment.  The virtual card can only be charged for the amount of the reservation; not for any other costs for damages. We want to require a personal credit card to be on file before the guest is allowed to check in.    We are not seeing a way to automate this or make it a requirement to be completed before check in is allowed. Front desk employees h

Diese möchte ich diesmal an den Gast weiter geben. Ich weiss beim Aufsetzen der Raten konnte ich diese Option in Prozent angeben. Nun möchte ich diese gerne nutzen und finde Sie nicht. Dear Community,When we enter a new reservation manually (taken through email/phone), we are faced with an automatic settlement failed email being sent every time we book a reservation in non-refundable, instantly, right after confirming the booking, even after taking cc details.Is the reservation sequence we are doing wrong, or are we not the only ones struggling with these automatic emails? 

Does anyone know if it is possible to set the time at which the mail is sent?We would like to send the 'after departure' only 24 hours after departure.Thank you for your message.

Es war bisher immer möglich, auf einer bereits geschlossenen Rechnung die Firmierung des Gastes zu ändern. Beispiel: Ein Gast checkt aus und möchte die Rechnung auf seine Firma ausgestellt haben. Nachträglich meldet sich der Kunde/Gast/Firma und möchte die Rechnung auf eine andere Firmierung ausgestellt haben. Bisher war es möglich, die Rechnung einfach mit einer anderen Firmierung auszustellen. Jetzt geht das nicht mehr. Es muss die ganze Rechnung storniert und neu gebucht werden. Das ist bei größeren Gruppenbuchungen ein erheblicher Arbeitsaufwand. Wie ist da Eure Erfahrung? Gibt es einen Trick? Wir sind darüber ehrlich gesagt sehr genervt…. Freue mich über Rückmeldungen! A travel agency has 3 reservations on the books.They paid for all 3 with a single wire transfer. I would like to issue a single invoice with the 3 Reservations, such that I can record the single payment. I do not want to split the payment into 3 parts.We preach the Golden Rule → What Happens in real life is recorded in the system Is this possible?  Or do I have to move the 3 rooms under a single bill? Thank you ;)Ethan Client will be sending a SINGLE wire for the full amount of all three reservations.
