Hey Community-friends 👋We thought it might be fun to know who’s who, while we’re actively engaging on our community. I’ll start!The name’s Sarah. You may already know me but if not, I’m looking forward to getting to know you in this community. 😊  I’m the Senior Community Manager here at Mews. You’ll be seeing my face quite a bit around here as I’m responsible for moderating the communications in this community. That means I make sure information flows fast between customers and the product team and that no question goes unanswered.I’ve worked in the SAAS industry for 6 years building and managing successful customer communities 👬 before I landed here at Mews in January 2022 - so, I’ve already got the community T-shirt, so to speak 👕I’m based in a leafy county called Surrey in the UK - not far from London. TOP 5 BIG PROBLEMS WITH MEWS PMS FOR A HOSTEL

Hello community!Here’s the list of the top 5 big problems with Mews for a Hostel: Timeline ordered by typology of the rooms instead of room numbers, confusion with room assignement, difficulties to manage day to day operations floor by floor and much more Any bill (of past, present and future reservations) connected to guest profille, big confusion with payments and billing when you have a guest in front of you Space status for housekeeping with inappropriate and incomplete filters Automatic rebate in some important changes of the reservation Difficulties in using blocks due to wrong calculation of availability between dorms and bedsThen Italian properties encounters problems with police report, fiscal topics and much more, still a lot to improve to reach Italian market.A lot more still must be improved, it is suggested to hire more people who worked at reception.

Mews logins for app, community, university - password manager struggle

Hi Mews/ Community. Anyone else also struggling with the different log-ins for Mews app, Mews university and Mews community? My password manager is not managing to separate these, but keeps updating password for the other pages, so I keep sending “forgot password” links to access the community/ university pages. I would love to be able to access all from the main-app/dashboard. Would make me participate more...

How do I send a search for someone's profile within the Community?

I was just on the Product Roadmap Webinar and wanted to reach out to Aldair directly about room block updates, showing on the timeline and the ability to book shoulder dates without having to split stay the reservation. I cannot figure out how to find an individual that is a part of the Community without searching through Topics and see if they are associated with that topic in someway. If someone could let me know how to search for individual members in order to private message, that would be very helpful.

We're fortunate to have members from diverse corners of the world, creating a vibrant and multi-lingual environment. 🌍 While the community itself doesn't currently have built-in translation capabilities, fear not! There's a nifty solution using Google Translate.No matter which browser you use, you can easily download the Google Translate browser extension. Just search for "Google Translate extension" for your specific browser and follow the simple download process. Once installed, you can configure the extension to translate text on-demand or automatically translate entire pages not in your selected language, all from your browser settings.This community is predominantly English language. But when it comes to replying to a thread in another language, the choice is yours! Community tips: Marking an answer as Best Answer

You might have noticed there is a Best Answer option at the bottom of all questions. I’m here to explain what this does and why it helps 🙂Clicking best answer means that out of several responses you may receive on your question, one comment will have the most relevant solution. Marking that answer as the best one will help others that are looking for a solution to the same question find the most obvious answer more easily.Not only that, you receive points when you select a best answer to your question. ⭐ And if someone marks your answer as a best answer to their question, you get double the points! 💪 Sometimes an answer is marked as best answer when it hasn’t solved the problem. Some areas of Mews may not work as designed, or is on the roadmap for improvement or is experiencing a bug. The best answer here would be to either raise a support ticket or create or vote on a feature request. While this isn’t technically solving the issue, it’ll remove the question from the Help Others sect
