I’m happy to announce that we’ve completed a highly anticipated functionality—creating reservations directly from the Timeline. From now on, finding the right spot in the Timeline for a new reservation will be much easier and faster. !-->
Beta program info
Start: December 12, ~4 PM CET
End: January 17, 2025
What’s in it for you:
Better visibility to create reservation in occupied categories
A faster, streamlined reservation process directly from the Timeline
No need to switch back and forth between the new reservation screen and the Timeline to find the right spot
How can you get started?
To get early access in your Live environment:
Comment below with your property name or Enterprise ID.
Once you confirm your interest, we’ll activate the beta for your property starting from the program launch date or as soon as possible after reading your comment.
What you should know:
The reservations can be created on the Timeline view that’s matching your bookable period such as:
Service - Stay / Period - Nights → reservations can be created on the Day Timeline.
Service - Meeting room / Period - Hours → rooms can be booked on the Hours Timeline
The beta program runs through the Christmas season, so there will be limited availability for issue fixes during the holidays, from December 23 to January 5.
Critical feedback can be addressed before Christmas—please report any major issues by December 18.
If the functionality doesn’t work for you during this beta version, it can be easily turned off before Christmas.
Please share your thoughts and feedback in the comments. We’d love to hear from you and ensure this works perfectly for your needs!
Thank you!

Please add Andromeda Hotel. Thank you!
@j.spiess, @littlemonkeyhostel, @StijnD Enabled :)) Let us know what’s your feedback on the functionality :))
Thank you for enabling.
I have the following observations:
You cannot select multiple nights in the Timeline using the drag-and-drop function. You must first select one night and then extend it to 2/3/4 nights via the dialog box.
Public rates with restrictions are also visible in the first window. This is illogical, although it is corrected in the next screen.
Count me in! Caffe dell’Arte Boutique Rooms - 10837
Hey @StijnD, thanks for the quick feedback!
Regarding the drag & drop - that’s what we’re thinking of in the next iteration. We wanted to put this out quickly to deliver value, see how it works, and understand priorities of upcoming improvements.
Public rates - can you elaborate on why they don’t make sense in the drop-down?
@emanuele.patelli Enabled :))
Hi Daniel, we have some public rates with restrictions (last minute, early booker) and they do pop-up in the drop down menu on the first screen. The front office staff is confused which rate to chose. They should only see the bookable public rates.
Hi Daniel,
could you add Slow Travel Resort Kirchleitn and Eco Lodges Millstätter See to the beta test too?
thx
BR Martijn
Can we also add this to Carey Centre? Thanks.
Hi! We are happy to see this new feature and would love to take part in this beta version - Panorama Guggenbichl - Hotel Garni & Appartement. Thank you!
Wir sind gerne dabei: Freuen uns auf die Beta-Version!
Dear @daniel.do
Hello Mews Community,
I would like to bring to your attention an issue we've encountered when booking through the timeline. In the initial window, it's possible to choose between multiple rate types, including those that are not valid or are restricted. This can lead to confusion as the incorrect rate plan might be communicated to the customer. It's only when you proceed further that you can see that this rate plan is not actually available.
Could you please advise if there is a solution to this issue? Your assistance would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you.
Hi Daniel, we have some public rates with restrictions (last minute, early booker) and they do pop-up in the drop down menu on the first screen. The front office staff is confused which rate to chose. They should only see the bookable public rates.
I’m not sure though why it’s confusing on the Timeline but it’s okay to see it in the following screen. If you want, we can discuss it in DM so send me a message. I want to hear more about it :)
@Martijn Coolen Slow Traveling @mhewsirikwan @Guggenbichl Enabled on production now. Let me know what feedback you have!
@barb00sa Thank you for the feedback! We could hide these restricted rates on the Timeline to make sure they’re not communicated. Let’s discuss it further in DMs :)
Hello,
Just a quick feedback for you,
We are loving the feature so far, however I have noted the following:
All existing rates are be presented even if restrictions in place will prevent that rate from actually being booked on the next screen. For example, if Rate A is only available on week days and I am trying to book a stay during the week-end, I will still see that rate in the calendar. However, when I am redirected to the main booking screen, I cannot choose Rate A anymore, which is what we want, but can cause some confusion while giving rate options to a guest.
It would be nice to have more option directly on the calendar, such as the possibility to choose a guest, products or vouchers.
Thank you ! Julie
@Horacio Amistat City @ABB @c.pille I enabled you the functionality on your live environment based on your request here below.
Please share with us your feedback!
Hey @JulieLVQ, thanks for sharing your feedback!
The first point is something that other 2 properties also reported and we’re currently working on a solution. I can’t tell now if this will be solved today and if not, we will be able to solve this early January. Please, let me know in DMs if that would be a problem and I shouldn’t disable that functionality just in case for now.
Good Evening
Please activate for Brauereigasthof Hotel in Aying
Thank you very much
Mathias
Hey @Mathias Rajczak, I enabled the functionality on your live property now. Let me know what you think!
