Mews should integrate the possibility of sending payment requests by bank transfer and give the possibility of instantly seeing the receipt of these transfers (on the same operation as credit/debit card).
A hotel with decentralized accounting takes several days to know that these transfers have been received.
For invoices of several thousand euros, bank transfer is the best secure payment method !

+2It would certainly be very interesting to see transcations directly in Mews. However, it is a very delicate matter as the reservation staff do not need to see all transactions on the account.
In Belgium, there is the possibility of including a "structured reference number", which could be used to link payments to specific reservations. However, I'm not sure if this is used in other countries ass well.

Nice idea, but think our Finance Director would be concerned as it means integration between the bank account software (we use Xero) and Mews. Like MatthiasH has said, most team members shouldn’t see what is happening on the company’s bank account.
If / when this would be rolled out, even as test, we will not participate.
more important for us is that the company payment methods are getting updated as not being able to add cc details is a huge issue for us. We are now using 3 different methods to process charges as we still need to use a PM account for the likes of Agoda / Dnata. Too confusing.
We have a Stripe virtual account so technically it would be possible to communicate Stripe banking information to guests so that the transfer arrives directly on Stripe and therefore Mews (like credit/debit card)!

yes - some way to track transfers would be excellent. Right now we are manually sending requests, and manually adding the transfer, and manually recording the “proof” which is usually a screenshot of the transfer or paper receipt.
