Hello Mews community! ✌

We're thinking big and are preparing for future vision of how hotel staff can manage reservations in Mews. Our first step is to redesign one key piece of the PMS - reservation module - and change the way of how reservations are viewed, filtered or edited either individually or in groups.

We’d love to understand how this change impacts you and get your feedback on how useable it will be on day to day basis. Right now, we’re especially looking for insights from two key roles:

  • Reservation managers / front desk staff who handle reservations daily

If this sounds like you, you're the perfect person to help shape this new capability. Here’s how:

  • Review this Loom video (~2 mins) to get extra context of what we’re up to
  • Follow this link to take our Useberry test and share your feedback
  • Please use a desktop browser — the survey includes visual elements
  • Set aside around ~25 minutes of your time

Even if this doesn’t fit your role directly, we still welcome your feedback! However, it would be even more valuable if you could share this with colleagues or team members who fit the roles above. That way, we can gather the most accurate insights and build the best solution for everyone. 🤝

Let me know below if you have any questions or comments. Thank you!

April 1, 2026

Hey everyone 🙌

Thank you so much for all of your feedback, we have now more than enough to evaluate what are the key changes we need to consider and make this solution a reality. If we have some questions about your feedback, we’ll reach out through email that you provided in the survey.

If things go well with development, I believe we’ll reach out again at the beginning of August for beta so keep an eye for my post 👏

Please, if you have any questions or more feedback, you can share it here or send me a DM in the community!

Thanks @Linus.Bihn for your time and feedback! We give it a lot of thought and as I said - this is critical for our next chapter in how we’ll enable managing reservations :)

Unfortunately, the task was aborted before I could finish it.Interesting in principle.Hopefully, there's a good reason for the page change. The sort function is a big step. But to really say anything about it, I'd need a beta version to test thoroughly.

@Leif Penning Hmm, did you get some error that it was aborted?

Once we’ll go to beta, we’ll share a community post here again and you can sign in and try it out :)

Done!

It looks that we can manage group reservations easier with bulk actions. If there will be a way to mark group reservations on the timelime, it would be also a big step forward.

Great possible change. i think you are really looking into the issue that exist. getting something to mark/show resravations that belong together on the timeline would also be very helpful.

I had the same, but then I used a different browser so I could finish it.

Hey @Sylvain.Attou, I think we can expect beta probably in July but it’s a very high-level estimate so please don’t count on it :))

I have done the survey. It looks good but there are some issues which need to be improved:

  1. in the cuurent design there is no way to see if a guest has an open bill. You need to go to the billing to check this. A (blue)button like we have right now would be appreciated and will save time.
  2. Payment button , like we have now, will be very much appreciated. So reception/reservation can go to the payment section in 1 click.
  3. Number of people in the reservation should be part of the main information as well as the information whether the rate is including or excluding breakfast.
  4. Reservation notes should be placed right under the reservation main information, so reception can see this directly. If you can add the notes so it show under the guest information(left side of the screen), when clicking on a reservation, this would be much appriciated.
  5. Not clear for me if adding a guest will be done in the same way it's doem now. Will MEWS let me search a guest and check if he has already a profile in the system?
  6. Are we still able to merge reservations together?

If I have more comments, I will let you know.

Best regards,

Shai

Looks really good and self explaining.
It would be nice to have an option to cancel all products of a group at once instead of clicking through every reservation.
Otherwise thanks for your work.

I have now watch the video more than one time and answer all the questions. My concern is that it will now be too easy to change the reservation by just clicking the edit pen. Today you have more steps and you can really make the right choice to edit the date, the rate or some third thing.

And then I don’t understand why you would have that many random reservations under different names under different dates in one picture, then i understand it gets confusing to find the right booking. But maybe that is just how we work.

I look forward to test it, maybe in our demo first.

Hey @ReservationsFashion :))

Regarding your points #1 & #2, the buttons are there under the 3 dots where you can see payment or bills, is that not enough?

3. Just wondering, aren’t the names of the rates enough to indicate whether it has breakfast?  Or how would you like to see it?

4. That makes sense, thanks!

5. You mean merging groups? That will be possible under the “Group” tab as it is right now

@christian_dahlke You’ll be able to :) You can easily filter out certain reservations in the new table, select them all, and then cancel them in the Status edit section :)

Hey @Revenue Anne Copenhagen :)

Thanks for the feedback, the reservations in the table are just example. It might be clearer once we’re in beta and you will be able to see and play with the solution :)

Hi @daniel.do ,
Thank you for this. I have the same concerns as @ReservationsFashion .

It is good that it is here, but the one-click on billing or the CC icon is so practical today, it would be too bad to lose it in the new reservation module. Could the action icon be directly place next to the Notes icon instead? To be honest, it is super rare that we would add a note on the guest profile, when it is super often that we need to quickly access his bill or payment tab.

Otherwise, I have sent the video and the form to a few reservations manager and front office managers. If you could leave it open for a few more days to give them time to review, that would be great. :)

Have a great day!

Thank you for your feedback.

Points 1 & 2:using the 3 dots means the reception has to go to the bill and check what the status op de bill.

As Aline bossard said, those button are super practical because they give the reception an instance look at the bills.

Point 4: we use the notes reularly, for different reasons. Either to say if the bill will be paid at the hotel or the bill is sent to a company/agent. Also if the guest add something to the room, we place this also in the notes. If something has been communicated with guest, we place a note in the reserrvation so other colleuges know about it. In short, for us the reservation notes are super important and very useful.

Name of rate: For example , booking.com has rates excluding and including  breakfast. They  also have flexible and non-refundbale rates. So if the name of the rate will also include this information, than this should solve the issue.

Yes, I meant merging groups. If this remain the same, than it is not really an issue.

completely agree on point 4. I suggested in the form that there be a specific type of notes that could be added to the reservation summary. So when we add a note we choose this type ensuring that the note is at the top of the page. Or note types could remain at the bottom, not to pollute the screen. Indeed, the channel manager notes for example can be quite lengthy and should not pollute the top :)

Agree on your comment regarding the notes.

Some of the notes of OTA are lengthy and do not really adding anything,.

Hey @ReservationsFashion & @aline.bossard, thanks for taking the time and sharing the feedback! It’s absolutely fair so I’ll talk with the team and discuss options to incorporate the feedback for the bill/payment icons to be outside.

We’ll also see how to tackle the rates :)
